More Depth

Describe yourself (personality/attitude/passions/beliefs):

Deeply connected to nature, gregarious and valuing solitude as well. I get along with all types of people. I'm down to earth (no need for creating drama) and not high maintenance, although I do like to be pampered once in a while. (In that same vein, I take the time often to show the people closest to my heart how much I appreciate them). I am interested/passionate about many things in life: expanding in my being as a compassionate, positive, and loving presence to those around me, becoming more conscious and aware in my day to day life, being in the natural outdoors, walking, mountain hiking trips (especially in the Rockies and Cascades), skiing, snowshoeing, hot springs, my health/fitness, reading and creativity. I'm looking for a light-hearted partner for any activities outdoors, including tennis, hiking, canoeing, exploring, archery (I'm dusting off my bow and hoping to get back into it) so if you have an interest in any of these activities, send me a message.

My weekly life includes a smattering of yoga, short daily meditation, walking/jogging, mountain hiking and music (many types), a little bit of photography, keeping in touch with and having friends or family in for lovely, healthy dinners and inspiring conversation. I love to learn, thrive on laughter, affection, sensuality, music and dance, giving and receiving massage (the gift of loving touch is divine), spontaneity, creating, giving and receiving thoughtful little surprises, and whatever life brings my way.....

I aspire to live by words best said by:

Mahatma Gandhi, "Be the change you wish to see in the world."

Mother Teresa, "Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless." and "...it is not how much we do... but how much love we put in that action."

While I am quite feminine, I don't think I'm a typical woman in that I'm not into shopping, women's magazines, high fashion, the latest hair trends, etc., but I have been known to wear my new hiking boots to bed....no just kidding, threw that in to see if you were really reading this! Actually, now I'm more apt to wear my five finger toe shoes on the trails. However, I do like to dress tastefully in simple, classic styles and I do own several and look pretty good in the "little black dress" and heels.

Describe the type of person you'd like to meet:

I appreciate men who are not conservative, who walk off the beaten path in their ideas, interests and politics. Men who are: intelligent, that is have an inquiring mind, interested in seeking to expand inner consciousness/awareness, humorous, sensitive, compassionate, affectionate, communicative (that is able to express some of their inner most feelings), creative/artistic in some way, enjoying creating fun and living a few adventures, trying out new things or new ideas, and who share a few of the same interests and activities, especially the natural outdoors. After that, it is all a wonderful mystery of who we attract into our lives.

I am looking for quality in a friendship and companionship, a long term relationship if the chemistry is there. If some of my words resonate with you, let me know and we can share some of those ideas, as reading a written profile just isn't the same as or even close to real human contact.

Describe the ideal relationship:

Too complex to answer, but however it is co-created, it needs to be one that both partners strive to remain in a place of open-hearted communication so life's conflicts can be navigated with love, grace, ease and respect for one another.

Share something unusual or extra special about yourself:

Well actually, I spend a lot of time in nature: walking forest trails, earthing in sunny meadows, spontaneous picnics in parks, hiking mountains (near and far), randomly following rivers, streams, and creeks (I'm not very mainstream). 🤣

What types of healing modalities do you practice or would you like to learn?

I use meditation as it is so wholistic in its effect on the body, mind and spirit. I'm a trained PSYCH-K facilitator to the highest level including in Health and Wellbeing, using it is a tool to empowers myself and others who wish to change the beliefs which no longer serve us and therefore provide opportunity to change our life. I am interested in learning tantra practices for myself and with a special partner.

Where do you see yourself 5 years from today?

Now that I'm retired, who knows, life is open, perhaps it would be fun to co-create with a partner a modest, functional 'green' home on a property with a bit of room for a wonderful organic garden, practicing some permaculture, xeriscaping projects located in an artistic, culturally thriving town somewhere (checking out Kimberley, Creston, and Nelson, BC). Doing some travel (hopefully, if the WHO and WEF don't hijack people's freedoms) exploring places with a volunteer component in either human or environmental service. Working for change on this planet.

What types of books/authors do you enjoy and why?

One of my all time favourite books is 'Wisdom from an Empty Mind' by Jacob Liberman, full of simple, but deep, mindful knowledge. Currently learning and reading about how our belief structures direct our life and how we can change these for expansion of who we are being in this lifetime. (Dr. Bruce Lipton, Rob Williams) Am also reading, learning and practicing with the power of 'Intention'. (Research and work of Lynne McTaggert)

What/who are some of your favorite movies/films/actors?

I'm not a TV watcher, have never had cable/satellite. I do like to watch a quality movie or series once in a while when the weather has me hunkered down indoors (thought-provoking topics, British comedies, documentaries, some foreign films come to mind)..........

What kind of music moves you?

So many genres, I'm a good curator of quality tunes; some types of Jazz, classical, folk, some rock, Latin, African, many current Canadian singer/songwriters such as Danny Michel, Royal Wood, Feist, Ron Sexmith, Hannah Georgas, Leonard Cohen, Colin James, Jesse Cook, Colin Linden, Dead South, et.al. and some Americans, Aussies, Brits, Scandinavians (Heilung - brings out the Pagan in me) 🤣 and Russian for good measure, their tunes make my body dance, (it's likly the ancestral Ukrainian cells in me). 😁
