More Depth

Describe yourself (personality/attitude/passions/beliefs):

My profile picture is from Jan 2025.

I am ambitious, determined and motivated and try to do my best in whatever I do in my life. I always look on the bright side. I will use setbacks in my life to improve my future. I am trying to learn how to laugh at myself. I like to travel as often as my work permits.

Describe the type of person you'd like to meet:

Ideal relationship is when each of us love and respect each other, listen to the other person even if the other person’s view is totally different. It should be okay for the other person not to agree with partner’s views.

I am looking for a life partner with whom I can spend meaningful time after coming home after days work, talk to her, laugh together looking at each others smiling faces. I’m looking for a partner who is mutually supportive of both in good times and challenging times in life. I want each of us to be appreciative of each other’s strengths and make up for our weaknesses and still maintain our individuality. We will be respectful of each other. I want my life partner to be also my best friend.

Describe your work/business and what it means to you:

I feel contented and love to be alive when the patient and / or their family members thank me for the care / attention given to the patient when the patient recovers and is about to leave the rehabilitation facility ( nursing home) or when a patient passes away.

How are you environmentally conscious & what are you doing to help the planet?

I have been environmentally conscious since 1990s. My heart was broken when I saw a video when a dead whale was pulled out and cause of death was plastic bags lumped up in its lungs and stomach.

At my workplace, they do not recycle recyclables. I try to bring some of those (smaller) items home and put them in my recycle bin.

What type of travel do you enjoy?

I like to see national parks ( yet to cover lot of them), take few to several days road trips for sight seeing. If possible, once a year, I visit countries which I have not visited, including taking river/regular cruises. I try to visit my mother in India who was born in 1928 at least once in couple of years. I visited her last in Jan 2023. She is in good health for her age, even know she helps my sister in routine cooking in the house. She lives with my sister.

Describe your ideal honeymoon:

Whatever the two of us decide.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

I do not know how to dance. I did take dancing classes prior to my daughter’s wedding in 2013 and participated in father & daughter’s dance. I would like to learn dancing. I would like to learn a string instrument or a keyboard instrument and hopefully by end of 2025 will have started taking classes for the musical instrument classes.

What makes my heart skip a beat

When I see beautiful sunset / sunrise in backdrop of mountains or on the sea while on a cruise or on a beach it makes my heart skip a beat. I had a similar moment when a lioness walked just 10 to 15 feet in front of our safari jeep during my visit to Africa.

What strikes bells of my soul

When I saw rubbles being pulled away in Feb 2023 earthquake in Turkey, on the fourth day after the earthquake , when I saw people searching for any survivors, dead person was pulled out with his face / body facing downward and was looking like he was hugging something. After he was pulled out, child probably 2 years old was lifted up who immediately started crying. At that moment bell of my soul struck appreciating miracles / blessings from higher up.
