More Depth
Describe yourself (personality/attitude/passions/beliefs):
I think I'm fairly outgoing and confident with a good sense of humour. I love to be around others and I'm passionate about spirituality and personal growth. I love talking about ideas, workshops, and teachers I have seen. I attended a Unity church in Austin which is very spiritually based. I also believe in doing what I can to create a caring society. I believe we are all equal and we are all one with God/Spirit/The Universe.
Describe the type of person you'd like to meet:
Ideally, a sensitive lady with bright eyes and a beautiful smile who is interested in spirituality and personal growth and enjoys talking about it and sharing ideas. She has traveled quite a bit and has lots of interesting stories to tell. She enjoys the outdoors, being with friends and cuddling!
Describe the ideal relationship:
An ideal relationship should be a partnership of equals. I would like to share my path of growth with my life partner and together, we would co-create our lives as a grand and glorious adventure.
We love, cherish and respect each other. We spend time each day in deep love and connection, being present and looking deeply into each other's eyes.
When concerns arise between us we work to resolve them right away in order to prevent them becoming larger issues.
We both know that we are loved by the other.
What should a great date consist of?
Good food or tea/coffee/wine and plenty of opportunity for eye contact and to talk. I prefer restaurants or coffee shops rather than movies for a date as I like to get to know the other person by listening, talking, and being present.
Of course, another beautifully simple option is a walk in nature, such as along the beach. We could both enjoy feeling the sand under our feet and our sense of connection to the earth.
Share something unusual or extra special about yourself:
Well, I'm originally from Eastbourne on the south coast of England and have a Computer Science degree from the University of London. I have lived in the US for over 30 years in Texas but then I spent 2021 in Hawaii and 2022 in the UK, (Edinburgh, Scotland and London, plus Portugal and France. In 2023, I returned to the US and am now back in beautiful Maui, Hawaii until the next opportunity for a grand and glorious adventure shows up. I guess you could say I'm a global traveler. I enjoy theater and have taken part in amateur productions. I secretly want to be a star myself! Does that count as unusual? Oh, and also, I did have a private pilot's licence years ago but it's expired now...
Describe your work/business and what it means to you:
I took a voluntary severance package from a major corporation, and I am loving not working in corporate America :)
I have found myself saying "yes" to opportunities placed in front of me and that has led me on quite a path these last few years. More in the next section below.
I am currently helping my friend with her internet marketing project as well as seeing if I can become an equities trader, both of which are interesting and fun :) Plus, I'm always open to what else is possible beyond anything I have imagined so far?
What do you like to do for fun/activities?
I love to travel, I love the outdoors, e.g.: road cycling, hiking, camping. I also practice yoga regularly. I also like theater and movies. I secretly want to be a star myself! I also enjoy eating out and having fun with friends. I used to volunteer on the "tech team" at the big Unity church in Austin, TX doing sound or lights, or video and I enjoy being of service in that way and would love to find a similar opportunity where I am now. Any ideas?
What does being *conscious* mean to you?
It means being aware of awareness itself and the oneness of all things, and trying to remember that, when my ego tries to convince me otherwise. It means taking total responsibility for my life, my happiness and joy, and everything I create. No blaming, complaining or judging. Not that I can always do that of course but I try to remember my intention when I feel myself slipping...
How long and what motivated you to be on a conscious path?
Pretty much, I got involved when I moved to the US over 30 years ago and it has been a central part of my life since. I started off in a men's group learning to get in touch with my feelings lost since childhood. It felt so good to cry again and to express anger. From then on, I knew there was more to life than a job, a house and a car and so I started actively pursuing spiritual growth and I haven't stopped!
What types of healing modalities do you practice or would you like to learn?
I have practiced many modalities such as Avatar, EFT, Access Consciousness, Pranic healing, being present with Eckhart Tolle, Byron Katie, Rupert Spira, Mooji, and Dr. Joe Dispenza, and more. I am currently practicing saying "yes" to what the universe has to offer and this has made my life magical in the last few years.
What are you most passionate about?
Creating a life of ease and joy and of magical new possibilities. Helping others to see that life doesn't have to be lived in quiet desperation and that the universe provides abundant opportunities for all. This is really teaching that which I wish to learn! As I help others, I help myself! What else is possible?
Where do you see yourself 5 years from today?
Living a life of ease, joy and glory. Having lots of fun, laughter, travel to sandy beaches and beautiful love-making with my new life partner.
What type of travel do you enjoy?
World travel! I visualise myself traveling first class everywhere I go!
What types of books/authors do you enjoy and why?
I really enjoyed the Conversations with God series by Neale Donald Walsch when they came out in the 1990s. I also love Eckhart Tolle's work as well as Wayne Dyer. I also like Dr. Joe Dispensa's work on reprogramming your brain. Recently, I have attended satsangs with fellow countryman Rupert Spira who is very inspiring. On relationships, I like Gay and Kathryn Hendricks as they seem to have really figured out how to make relationships work!
What kind of pets do you have? (Names)?
None - I used to have a kitty but she died a few years ago. I love both cats and dogs however and have housesat for friends with cats and dogs on several occasions.
Do you support any charitable organizations?
Yes, environmental organizations such as Sierra Club, Animal welfare groups such as PETA and human welfare groups such as Amnesty International and Oxfam
What makes you smile?
The eyes and smile of a beautiful woman, the beauty of nature, The beaches and sunsets on Maui, looking up at the stars and, of course, big, long hugs!
